iTunes 10
I usually wait to upgrade a program like iTunes, but I had to do an upgrade on my system at work for testing purposes. FYI, the upgrade from iTunes 9.2 went very smoothly. And, likewise at home. I have some initial impressions on iTunes 10.
Blogo #2
I have used Blogo for a few hours now and am getting acquainted with it’s pluses and minuses. Overall, I really like this application. It just has a more modern interface and generally is a very cool program. That is not to say that it doesn’t have a few drawbacks.
Blogo #1
For years I have used Ecto for all of my blog posts. It is good software, but a little buggy at times. Today I am trying something new called Blogo, the new kid on the block.
Cocktail
I use all kinds of Maintenance Utilities for two reasons: I do a lot of maintenance on my Macs and just to see what they can do. One of those utilities which has been around for a really long time is Cocktail.
Apple Mail Etiquette
Email is an absolute necessity for most of us. This is a great article on simple “rules” for email and some helpful ideas on how to use Apple’s Mail app more effectively. It is worth a read if for no other reason than the section on Bcc.

Mac Backup Strategy
If you have been into computers long you know that having a backup plan is a quintessential piece of the pie. Backup strategies at home are fairly straight forward. But, when you get into a corporate environment, it can get complicated.
MacBook Pro Clone
The other day I was working on a Powerbook that was “acting up”. I checked it out with one of my favorite programs, Drive Genius from Prosoft Engineering. What did it tell me?
Freeway Update
I am glad that I happened to mention that Freeway Pro 5.5 is a “preview” version. It still is a little buggy. Sometimes cut and paste comes up with an error and it is generally somewhat slow. Maybe it is just my system, we will see. More to follow as I upgrade my sites from the 5.0 version to 5.5.

Freeway Pro 5.5
Softpress just released a preview version of Freeway Pro 5.5. It is a $50 upgrade, but it appears to be worth the dinero. I just downloaded it and have played with it a little.
Missing System Services
Have any of you ever had System Services turn up missing? I haven’t, but I have friends who have. Here is a fix if you are not afraid of the Terminal. Perhaps just a good old fashion restart might fix this issue.
