iTunes Icons Hack
I am not one for hacking things inside of applications, but this fix to restore colorful icons in iTunes looks fairly straight forward. I do not think I will be doing it, but maybe, you never know. Apply at your own risk.

Password Reset
This a a great little article on how to reset account passwords in OS X. The key is having the original install disks that came with your Mac. I can’t count the times while I worked at a Mac Specialist when we needed peoples original disks for their Mac and they didn’t have them. Amazing.

Permissions

File Associations
This is a nice little article about how to change file associations in Leopard and Snow Leopard. The example they use, opening PDF’s, is perfect. I always change the machines I am using to open PDF’s in Apple’s Preview app. I can’t stand Adobe Reader.

ESD
ESD (electrostatic discharge) is a big deal for techs working on computers. Apple thinks it is so important that if you do not get the ESD questions right on the certification exam you do not pass. You can get all the rest of the questions right, but if you miss more than one ESD question your history.
