The Path Bar
The longer I use Leopard the more little things I find that are very helpful like the Path Bar. From time to time I need to know the path of my meanderings in my folders. I need to know where I am.
Wide Open Spaces
Spaces is one of the highly touted new features in Leopard. What is Spaces? It is a feature where you can have multiple desktops all at the same time. You can have several programs open in each desktop and switch between them.
Leopard Mail: Stationery 2
Last time I talked about Mail’s Stationery feature. It really is kind of fun using it. I wouldn’t say I am an expert with it yet, but it really isn’t too difficult. Here is how it works.
Leopard Mail: Stationery
The Mail application is greatly improved in Leopard. I have used Mail ever since the beginnings of OS X. Each iteration just gets better. Admittedly, e-mail purists have never liked Apple’s Mall app, but for the rest of us it is a great application.
Leopard Coolness: Shared Drives
I don’t know if you are coming from Tiger or perhaps even Panther, but I hope you will agree that Leopard is quite a cat. Yes, there are all the main “features” like Time Machine and so on, but the things that keep jumping out at me are the little things in the OS that “just work”.
Guest Account
I am discovering new things in Leopard all the time. At my work I am continutally installing applications in my Leopard installation to see what works and what has problems. Today, as I was installing FileMaker Pro 9 I discovered that Leopard had a “Guest” account.
10.5.1
I have been using Leopard for about a week now and enjoying it very much. It is a great OS and will only get better as Apple releases updates over the next year or so. Speaking of updates, I can hardly wait for 10.5.1.
Leopard
I finally did it! I installed Leopard a few days ago on our MacBook. It was a very interesting experience. Apple makes it very easy to install. I used the Archive and Install method and it went really well.
Leopard Ready
No, I haven’t installed Leopard yet. I am still trying to upgrade most of my applications to Leopard ready. You may be wondering why so many developers are slow in getting Leopard ready versions of their software. I have a theory about that.
