Finder Menu Tip
I don’t know how you like the Translucent Finder Menu in Leopard, but it is not quite my cup of tea. Depending on what type of desktop background I have it is very difficult to read. I find it rather annoying. But, not to fear, Onyx to the rescue.

I don’t know if you have participated in any online training, but I have a recommendation. At my work we have been using Lynda.com. They have great training if you have a Macintosh. They have Windows video training too.

Well, Apple finally came out with an update for Leopard, 10.5.2. You can read about it at Apple’s web site right here. There are a bunch of very welcome fixes and a few improvements to Leopard. I will go into some of those things another time. I just wanted to talk about how my install went.

The New Mac?
I have been counting the days until I get a new 20″ iMac. I could get one right now but, the info is the iMac is due for an upgrade. I am still nursing along my G4 MDD but it is dying. However, it is so close to an iMac upgrade I have committed myself to sticking it out.
OpenMenu X Revisited
I have mentioned a few things about OpenMenu X. Here are a few more features in detail. Actually the best thing to do is download the program, install it and play around with it.
Open Menu X
I have always used a menu aid such as FinderPop or something else. Most of them work like this. You right click or control click on the desktop and a menu drops down. Usually the menu has an application list in it. I have always used it as an application launcher.
