So far I am really happy with Apple’s latest 10.5.3 update. Yes, I know you can go to certain Mac web sites and read about the problems people are having. I always do that before installing any major OS upgrade. In the case of 10.5.3 most problems didn’t look too insurmountable. If you are wondering how my installs went, read on.

10.5.3

May 30, 2008 · Filed Under Operating System · Comment

Apple just released 10.5.3 update to the Leopard OS. I have installed it a couple of times and it seems to be very fine. There are a ton of fixes in this update. I will report on it more in depth after I have used it for a few weeks, but so far so good.

I am using version 3 of my ecto blog software. It is very nice, new and improved as they say. I had to re setup my blogs in the program, but that did not take long. It then goes out and downloads all the articles from the blog. It will take me some time to get used to it, but so far I like it.

Just wanted to drop a line. I will have more next week. Have a great weekend.

I finally made it home from our vacation in Virginia and North Carolina. Being from Colorado my first impression was green! Very very green! At least compared to Colorado which is a very dry state. Now it is catch up time.

As you know I have been setting up my iMac for a couple of weeks now. I do have a lot of software. I have most of it installed now. I have taken my G4 away. Man is my computer setup sweet. I have a large desk area with just the iMac sitting there. No G4 tower anywhere, no huge CRT 19″ monitor. Nice and clean.

iMac boxApple is a class act. The packaging on the iMac was totally cool. Very elegant, very utilitarian. The packaging reflects how easy it is to setup. Simple, but nice. On to the setup.

iMacFinally! Last week I drove up to one of the Denver area Apple Stores and bought a brand new iMac! Yes, I could have saved a few dollars if I had purchased it on some place like Amazon, but nothing can beat the Apple Store experience.
