Archive & Install
I have to upgrade my supervisor’s iMac to Leopard today. If you ever need to upgrade a Mac to Leopard just do yourself a favor and use the “Archive and Install” feature. Do not install Leopard “over the top” of the older OS, too many potential problems. An Archive & Install archives the old OS and installs a brand new, fresh OS. Then it migrates in your network settings. It isn’t a perfect method, but it presents the fewest problems in the long run.

iWeb Experience
Are you doing any web publishing? If so, what application(s) are you using? I have told you about the applications I use: Freeway, WordPress, Dreamweaver, RapidWeaver. But, have I told you about my iWeb experiences?
Hard Drive Demise
We have various “emergencies” at my work throughout the course of a day. One of the worst ones is hard drive failure. All kinds of things can happen to a Mac via hardware or software.
Another Switcher
If you stay tuned to Mac news you have seen recent reports that the Mac is continually gaining market share. People are buying more and more Macs and not just on the home front either.
WordPress Dash
I found this little Dashboard Widget for Mac OS X called WordPress Dash. It is very cool for dashing off a short entry to a blog. You just go into the Dashboard Widgets in OS X, click on “New Post” and type away. It is not sophisticated enough for a bunch of pictures and heavy formatting, but for a short entry it is very cool.

MobileMe
Do you have a .Mac account? Excuse me, a MobileMe account? I have had one for about a year now. I have really come to enjoy it. I like MobileMe even better.
Macs at Work
Just wanted to give a review of our Mac situation at work. First, some general observations. We are getting more and more Macs, mostly MacBooks and MacBook Pros.
Phones
How many of you are going for the 3G iPhone? Not me. I am just not a cellphone person. Yes, I know you can do a lot of other things with it, but I just can’t justify the cost of the phone plan.
Odds & Ends
Just wanted to take a breather and catch up on some odds and ends. Lots of little things, at least they seem little to me, have happened over the last few weeks that don’t warrant a whole episode.
Leopard Printing Problems
I have had Leopard 10.5.3 installed pretty much since it was released. Overall, I think the update is great and is well worth installing. However, I have run into one problem that has really been bugging me.
