Safari Debug Menu
Here is a little tip I have been messing around with for a while. I am assuming you are using the Safari web browser. For several iterations, Safari has had something available called the Debug Menu. It is not turned on by default. Why do I want the Debug Menu you ask?
Mighty Mouse
How many of you use a Mighty Mouse from Apple? When it first came out I didn’t really like them, but after using one for six months I have learned to love this little guy. One of the things we are faced with at my work is that Mighty Mice can start malfunctioning after long usage. The bottom line is they just need to be cleaned. Firewire Conundrum
Apple released the new, jam packed aluminum MacBook a few days ago to much fanfare and applause. However, there is also a growing revolt against the new MacBook because of what Apple left out.
Billions
We are in the midst of a mild recession and Apple is making tons of money. Their financial report yesterday from the fourth quarter revealed Apple made over $1 billion profit! That is totally mind boggling. If you are a long time Mac user then you would probably think I should have begun this article with the phrase “the beleaguered Apple”. That is the way the media used to phrase it whenever they talked about Apple Computers in the old days. They aren’t beleaguered anymore!

MacBook Purchase
Several people at my work have walked to the nearby Apple Store and purchased a MacBook Pro or MacBook since they arrived. I can tell you from looking at these machines first hand, they are very sweet. But, in one instance these folks had just bought a MacBook. Bummer dude! Or is it.
The Apple Store
Finally! Colorado Springs has it very own Apple Store. It has been a long time coming. They had the grand opening about two weeks ago. I was not able to attend, unfortunately.
The Books
Did you watch Apple’s Notebook presentation today? They updated the MacBook, MacBook Pro and the Air. Man are the new MacBook and Pro cool. They gave the MacBook an aluminum shell, very nice.
Tuesday Books
W
ell, it was true. Apple announced The Spotlight Turns to Notebooks for Tuesday, Oct. 14. The word is they are going to announce MacBook and MacBook Pro’s in new form factors which includes aluminum casing for the MacBook. Goodbye plastic. Hello, corporate world. There is all kinds of speculation about what the cases will look like and what will be included. It is safe to say, if you were going to buy a Mac laptop this weekend, I would hold off until Tuesday.
The Newton
Yesterday I was working on someone’s MacBook Pro at work. After talking with this person I discovered he was a long time Mac user and Apple fan. Apple fans have been known to have a few gadgets around, even old ones.
Apple Updates
Well, the rumors are flying. Supposedly there will be a new MacBook released on October 14 with a new form factor and new graphics capabilities. Or, there may be a new MacBook Pro with a new form factor. Welcome to the wild ride of the Macintosh. It never ends with Apple.
