iLife Updates

March 27, 2009 · Filed Under Software · Comment

Apple just released updates to several iLife ’09 applications. I have downloaded and installed them. It requires a restart. After restarting I opened and played around with each iLife application (except Garageband) and they all seem to work nicely. Maybe it is just my perception but they seem to be a little faster. I think these updates are good to go if you have the time. Just use your Software Update feature in Leopard. There is also an update to iWork ’09, but I cannot test it because I have not upgraded to ’09 yet. Soon.

Basically, I think it lost my authorization for my computer! I can’t buy anything off the iTunes store and I cannot even play a lot of my music! Forget trying to sync my iPod.

Word Compatibility

March 11, 2009 · Filed Under Software · Comment

A good friend emailed me recently about Microsoft Word compatibility file problems. She has Office 2004 on her white iMac and Office 2008 on her new unibody MacBook. Recently she generated some new Word files on her unibody MacBook, but when she took them over to her iMac and tried to open them in Office 2004 she got an error. What gives?
