iMac LCD
The company where I work has several older aluminum iMacs, about 2007 vintage. A few things are starting to go out on them. Today we replaced the LCD on one, and it went great.
After diagnosing the issue we ordered the part from Apple. We received their usual overnight response. Very cool. Today we removed the old, failing LCD and installed the new LCD. I have done this before, so I talked my partner through his first iMac adventure. He did great. Even stopping for a few conversations about the best way to do things we were still done in an hour. Not bad, not bad at all.
The best part, no left over screws and the machine booted up great. The new LCD is brighter than the original. The user complained about how bright it was.
Anyway, all went well and we had a great time working on the iMac together. Now, onward and upward.
