Tools
One of the things I learned about at my retail Mac job is what kind of tools you need to repair Macs and what qualifies for quality tools. I am very grateful for that knowledge. So, why do I bring this up?
Today I was working on a MacBook Pro. I needed to remove the hard drive, but when I tried to remove one of the tiny little screws inside the battery bay the cheap screwdriver that we have at work just stripped out the screw. Fortunately I have a good set of Wiha screwdrivers at home and will bring them to work tomorrow to finish the job. We have some on order at work, but they won’t be in for a while.
There is absolutely no replacement for good quality tools. Yes, they are a little expensive, but they are worth every dime in time saved and quality work.
