In my previous article on 321Soft Video Converter for Mac I covered Add Files, Download and Split functions. In this installment lets take a look at the Trim and Edit functions. Needless to say, this is a very comprehensive video and audio conversion application let me tell you.
In some ways the Trim function in VCM is similar to the Quicktime app, albeit a bit more sophisticated. To get into the Trim window just load a video and click on the Trim button:
You will be taken to this window:
There is a lot going on in here so lets just take it by the numbers.
1. These little sliders are your “Mark as in” and “Mark as out” tools.
2. You use these “plus” and “minus” symbols to add and delete segments.
3. Here you can setup your “in” and “out” settings using Time Code if you wish.
There are a few other little goodies in this section, but I think you have a feel for it. When you are finished trimming, just click Done.
The Edit area is a bit more complicated. Lets check it out with this video:
As you can see, there are lots of things you can do to tweak your video in the Edit area. There are more sophisticated apps to edit video in, but if you only need to do some simple things VCM has you covered.
All in all, 321Soft Video Converter for Mac is a very sophisticated app that works quite well. It is a little pricey at $34.95, but if you do even a moderate amount of video work I think the price would be justified. You can download a free trial so you have nothing to lose by trying it out.
