I think I have previously mentioned there are tons of features in iOS that just go unused. For me, one of those features is Respond With Text (responding to phone calls with a text message.) I just set this up the other day, should have been using it all along. I will primarily be using it for SPAM calls on my iPhone 8, but there are other uses as well. Here is how to set up Respond With Text.
Respond With Text
Start by tapping on Settings in your iPhone. Then scroll down and tap on the Phone Setting:
Next, tap on Respond with Text:
You are taken to a screen where you can setup your texts:
When you first enter this area there are some Default texts. All you have to do is tap on one of them and add your own text replies:
I use the “I don’t accept SPAM calls” response the most. Just cater your responses to the type of calls you receive and how you use your iPhone.
The Respond With Text feature is super easy to setup. I have used it a few times already to reply to SPAM calls. I don’t know if it will discourage any SPAM calls on my iPhone, but it still gives me a good feeling to tell those people to bug off.
