The more I use iOS 13 the more I discover very useful features that I can fit into my everyday workflow. One of those is “Instant Notes”. The Instant Notes feature uses, you guessed it, the Notes App in iOS. Instead of tapping into the operating system, finding the Notes App and tapping on it to open, you just quickly swipe into Control Center and tap on the Notes icon. If you need to take quick notes from time to time, then you may want to set this up.
I do need to take a quick note from time to time. It is a pain to go into my system and into the Notes App to do this. So, I setup Notes in the Control Center. To do that Tap on Control Center in Settings:
Once in this area Tap on “Customize Controls”:
Once in this area, scroll down and Tap on “Notes” to add it to the Control Center:
Now, all you have to do is go out of Settings and drag down on the upper right corner of your iPhone or iPad to access the Control Center:
When you Tap on the Notes icon, you are taken into the Notes App:
Now that you have that setup, go back into Settings and Tap on the Notes Setting:
Once in this area scroll down and Tap on “Access Notes from Lock Screen”:
In this next area you can setup how you want Notes to act:
When I create an Instant Note I just want to “Always Create New Note”. If you want to take a running note, then you would check the box “Resume Last Note”.
I want to reiterate, when you do an Instant Note, your access is instant, but you are taken into the Notes App, it remains open.
Instant Notes is a very handy feature. I use it to take quick little notes for viewing later. If you think it would work for you, then by all means set it up.
