I just installed macOS Catalina 10.15.5 Beta 2 today. Apple does not provide an extensive list of changes in this update. One new feature mentioned is something called “Battery Health Management”. Here is what that does on your Mac Laptop:
Battery Health Management is designed to extend the overall lifespan of a Mac notebook by reducing the rate of chemical aging. The feature will analyze the battery health of the laptop and its charging pattern, and in some cases, will preserve battery health by not charging a MacBook to full capacity as this can reduce battery life.
This looks like a great feature. Here is a link with more information on this new feature. I have been testing the update and it seems pretty stable. We will see what happens when 10.15.5 is finally released. Hopefully, it will kill some of the 10.15.4 problems people are experiencing.
