Most Mac people perform their workflow using the Mac GUI interface. It works pretty well and enables us to do what we need. However, on occasion we might need to get a little more granular and use the Terminal App to perform some type of troubleshooting step. Using the Terminal App is not for everyone, but some people find it useful at times. Typical use of the Terminal involves pasting in some type of code that will fix, stop or start something on your Mac. Not many Terminal users are real coders, we use code examples from other sources. If you are considering using the Terminal App, then read this article which describes how to open and close it. It also explains how to quit a process in Terminal.
