Ulysses 20 Dashboard Update

I use the Ulysses writing App to create some articles on this blog from time to time. I really like the “Focused Writing” capability of the App. Ulysses has always had a Dashboard to the right side of the editing window with statistics and other information. The Dashboard is helpful and informative. The latest Ulysses update has created a new Dashboard with some really neat features.

Ulysses 20 Update

There are two new features in the “Ulysses Dashboard” that I really like. The first one is the “Outline” feature:

Ulysses 20 creates an Outline of your headings and subheadings in your document. My blog articles usually are not that long, but the Outline feature is still great. While working on an article all you have to do is click on one of the headings in your Outline in the sidebar, and the App goes to that heading. If you had a fairly long article, navigating with the Outline feature would be so helpful.

The second new feature in Ulysses that will get extensive use is “Advanced Grammar and Style Check”:

All you do is click on that icon in the upper right corner of the toolbar and then click “Check Text”:

If there are problems, Ulysses will provide Grammar, Spelling and Style suggestions. I think this feature is super handy! I will be using it extensively in lieu of a third-party Application for this purpose. As far as I can tell, it works quite well.

The new and improved Ulysses version 20 has some great new features that will facilitate any writer no matter what they’re writing chores.
