I know I cover a lot of information about privacy and security issues. I happen to think there are very few topics that are more important than your computing and iDevice privacy. When it comes to iOS, there are several things you can do to enhance your privacy profile. One of those things is to turn off location information for specific processes inside the System Services area. Here is how you do that.
As you may have surmised, you access System Services in the Settings’ area of iOS. Start by tapping on the Privacy setting.
Once in this area, tap on Location Services.
Now, scroll down to the bottom of this screen and tap on System Services.
In the next window you will see a long list of System Services that are using the Location Services of your iPhone.
In my case, I don’t need to have HomeKit accessing the Location Service, so I will deactivate it.
The thing to do is go through the list and deactivate anything you do not think you will need. You need to err on the side of privacy. If you turn something off that you need, you will discover that fairly soon as you use your iPhone.
As far as I am concerned, you can never have enough privacy! Toggling your System Services can help make your iPhone more secure.
