So, why would you want to delete a single file from the Trash folder. When you put stuff in the Trash, all of it is there to be deleted, right? Usually, that is the case, but not always. Sometimes if people put a bunch of files in the Trash, they may want to wait a bit to delete some of them and not others. They might be having second thoughts about some of the files, so they are hesitant to empty the Trash. If you had some really large files in the Trash mix, and wanted to get rid of them and not others, there is a way to do that.

Just click on “Delete” and the file in question will be deleted immediately from the Trash Folder leaving your undecideds in place.
I know people that place tons of stuff in the Trash and then finally Empty the Trash after a few days or even weeks. You could see how there could be a lot of stuff in the Trash Folder to look through. I don’t think that is a great way to work, but some people do it.
If you need to selectively delete files from a full Trash Folder, it is easy to do so.
