As far as I know, most Mac people display their web pages in Safari using tabs. They really are convenient, just easy to use. One annoying thing that happens while we are surfing websites is a site that has some type of automatic audio running when you land on it. If this happens to you, there is a way to mute that audio.
Mute Safari Tabs
The latest versions of Safari have added some nice functionality in Tabs. You access these functions by right-clicking on the Tab. In this case, I am playing a YouTube video, but I want to mute the audio.
All you have to do is right-click on the Tab and select “Mute Tab” from the menu. While you are in there, check out some other commands. I use “Close Tabs to the Right” and “Close Other Tabs” fairly frequently.
If you are on a website that has audio running in the background, you can mute that audio and save yourself a lot of aggravation.
